This is how to use the news function of your web site. Below are instructions to add, delete and modify an item in the news section.
How to add a news item
» go to http://www.yoursite.com/admin
» Login with your Username and Password
» click on News
» click on Add at the top of the page
» This brings you to the Add Page
- Decide if you want the date of the news item to show in the front page
- Type in the title of the news item under "subject"
- "Size" = 2 is normal
- Place news information in "Description"
- For your own information you can enter your "name" and "email"
- Decide when you want the news item to start under "start date"
- Decide when you want the news item to leave the page under "expiration date"
- When you have completed everything click Preview at the bottom to see an example of your news item
- If you want to change anything you can do it there or you can click Save at the top.
» You must click Save or your news item will not be inserted on the front page.
How to delete a news item
» go to http://www.yoursite.com/admin
» Login with your Username and Password
» click on News
» This brings you to a page which displays the news items on your front page
- Click on delete to remove item from the news
How to modify or change a news item
» go to http://www.yoursite.com/admin
» Login with your Username and Password
» click on News
» This brings you to a page which displays the news items on your front page
- Click on modify to change a news item
» This brings you to a page which displays the details of the news item
- From this page you can alter the text and date of the news item
- When you are done click Preview at the bottom to see an example of your news item.
- If you want to change anything you can do it there or you can click Save at the top
» You must click Save or your news item will not be changed on the front page
