Here is what I have so far.

If you want to talk to my neighbor, you can reach him at 972-529-2602 or if
you prefer, try e-mail: vanbuskirk@home.net. His name is Mike VanBuskirk,
his wife is Trish. I told them you might call/write if you had any questions
or wanted some information.

These were the ideas I had for the site. He like them all, except for
posting a schedule, he said they weren't organized enough in that area (at
least that goes for the person who does the scheduling.) I want to stress
that I'm not trying to hog things-I just wanted to get my contribution in,
so progress is not slowed just because I decided to go away!
So, hopefully the group will have some nifty ideas.

I thought there would be the typical welcome page with connections to:

Pooch Profiles (Photos of each dog and their bios)

Safety Tips (Advice from the Mark-9 team if you get into a situation)

Events (Where the team/dogs can be seen/visited)

History (How Mark-9 came to be)

Rescues (Rescue tales)

Practice Schedule (Quick reference for team to know when and where they need
to be) (scratch this one)

Contacts (Who to contact for more information and/or the team list)

Training Overview (To educate those interested, especially those who may
want to join)

Here is what Mike named when I called to ask him what he thought would go on
the site:

* What we do
* Nothing too serious or childish
* Informative
* Audience - to support donations, attract others to join Mark-9
* Each dog has a page
* Owner's e-mail, to send questions. some owners specialize in an area, like
obedience
* Advertise cookbook "Dog Bites" to raise money to support the org.

Graphically speaking, Mike seemed open to a new logo. They do write the name
with the dash. (Mark-9)
So, I say that could be great fun for someone. I think thumb nail images of
the dogs could be a nice menu to take visitors to the pooch profiles. "Click
on the dog you want to meet!" And, OK, I gotta throw this one in, a paw
print could be a very nice motif!

I think we should try to keep easy maintenance in mind too. Obviously, I can
get some good practice...but you know that could get out of control!

See you really soon! :>)

Auf vieder sehen!
